Bahrain-Korean ties discussed

Manama, Apr.8 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has affirmed Bahrain's keenness on developing its strategic relations with Asian countries especially with South Korea spanning over four decades. The deputy Premier today received Ambassador of South Korea to Bahrain Koo Hyun-mo and discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields. Shaikh Khalid expressed his wishes for businesses to avail from the facilities in both countries, recalling the role played by Hyundai Engineering & Construction since the 1970s in promoting trade and investment relations and the transfer of Korean expertise to Bahrain in the field of ship repairing. The Korean ambassador hailed the mutual interest to boost the level of Bahraini-Korean relations for the benefit of the two friendly peoples.
