Bahrain leadership congratulated on kingdom's success in maintaining Tier 1 status

Manama, June 26 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh extended sincerest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Bahrain’s maintenance for the third year in a row Tier 1 status in the annual report of the US Department of State on the classification of countries in the field of combating trafficking in persons. He stressed that the achievement was made thanks to the directives of HM the King to promote a legal and institutional environment and keenness to enforce the law. He added the accomplishment also reflects progress of the comprehensive development march spearheaded by HM the King to serve the nation and citizens and foster human rights. The Shura Council Chairman stressed the kingdom’s advanced regional and international status in combating human trafficking thanks to the best practices in this regard. He also extended congratulations to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on the achievement, describing it as an assertion of the government’s full commitment to the directives of HRH the Premier to ensure human rights are respected. The Shura Council Chairman expressed congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, on the accomplishment which confirms the kingdom’s continuous distinction in combating trafficking in persons.
