Bahrain, Luxembourg discuss cooperation, Islamic banking

Brussels, Nov. 21 (BNA): Bahrain's Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg and the Kingdom's Representative to the European Union and NATO, Dr. Bahia Jawad Al Jishi, has participated in the meeting between Luxembourg's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean Asselborn and Arab ambassadors accredited to his country. Asselborn appreciated the envoys' keenness to strengthen relations with his country in all fields, notably in trade and the economy. Al Jishi expressed Bahrain's aspirations to enhance cooperation and coordination across all sectors, especially in the field of Islamic banking, given Luxembourg's interest in this type of banking in which the Kingdom is an important hub. The meeting also discussed issues of common concern, the latest regional and international developments and ways of enhancing cooperation between Arab countries and Luxembourg to serve common interests and contribute to international peace and security.
