Bahrain to mark National Environment Day

Manama, Feb. 3 (BNA): Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Environment Council Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed Bahrain’s unique marine reserves and the need to preserve them.
Marking the National Environment Day, which is observed on February 4, he emphasised the principles of the constitution and the National Action Charter which call for protecting natural resources. He underlined the role of the National Environment Day in boosting environmental awareness and the principles of Bahrain’s environmental strategy to preserve marine reserves and wildlife. He also pointed out the kingdom’s access to many agreements in this regard, affirming Bahrain’s keenness on protecting its wildlife and sea reserves.
