Bahrain marks Night of Destiny

Manama, July 2 (BNA): Bahrain joined the Islamic World in marking the Night of Destiny - Laylat al-Qadr. A ceremony was held last night at the Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre in Manama to mark the annual religious event.
The Directorate of Religious Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments held the ceremony under the auspices of Supreme Islamic Affairs Council (SIAC) President Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa.
The event was attended by scholars, religious figures, judges, and ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, citizens and expatriates living in Bahrain.
Addressing the event, Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs Dr. Fareed bin Yacoub Al-Meftah urged all efforts to focus on disseminating an open civilised culture and bolster national unity. He underscored the importance of promoting the values of loyalty and firm commitment to religious tenets.
Dr. Al-Meftah reiterated allegiance to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
