Bahrain National Robotics Competition concludes

Manama, Nov.8 (BNA): The 11th edition of the Bahrain National Robotics Competition has concluded today. First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa patronized the closing ceremony The Ministry of Education organized the two-day competition which is sponsored by Britus Education. Held at Al-Areen Palace and Spa with, the 2022 edition attracted 222 male and female students making up 74 teams from public and private schools. "The continuation of this competition for the eleventh year confirms that it has achieved the goals, tapping into students' creative and innovative capabilities in the field of science and technology", said HH Shaikh Khalid. He stressed the importance of such competition which reflect Bahrain's educational strides, paying tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their support to the development march. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended Britus Education for sponsoring the competition, which reflects constructive cooperation between the public and private sectors. Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of this competition, which is being held for the eleventh time, in motivating students to actively participate and present creative ideas in the field of robotics. He noted the increase in the number of students participating in the contest from 154 students last year 222 enthusiastic particpants in 2022. Britus Education Board Chairman Hesham Al Rayes expressed thanks and gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad for patronizing the competition.
