Bahrain participates in 27th GCC agricultural committee meet

Riyadh, Mar. 30 (BNA): Works, Municipalities affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf has headed the Kingdom of Bahrain's delegation to the 27th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Agricultural Cooperation Committee meeting at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting was chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Minister of Agriculture and was attended by the GCC ministers in charge of agricultural affairs, with participation of the GCC secretary-general Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. The agenda of the ministerial meeting included several topics pertaining to recommendations submitted to the relevant ministerial undersecretaries concerned with agriculture following their preparatory meeting also recently held here in Riyadh, said minister Khalaf. He added that among the meeting's agenda in the domain of the permanent committee for agrarian regulations and policies was the recommendation regarding approval of establishment of the Food Security Studies Centre for GCC countries which will have its headquarters in the Sultanate of Oman.
