Bahrain participates in Arab labour congress

Cairo, Apr. 8 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister, Chairman of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, headed the delegation of Bahrain to the 45th Arab Labour Conference in Cairo held under the patronage of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in the presence of Arab labour ministers, as well as the heads of employers' organisations and representatives of workers' trade unions in the Arab countries, on April 8-15. The Bahraini delegation consists of representatives of the three production sides, including the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, business owners , Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry represented by its chairman Samir Abdullah Nass, the Executive Council of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al-Hurr) represented by its president Yaqoob Yousif and the General Federation of Workers Trade Unions in Bahrain (GFWTUB) represented by its general secretary Hassan Al Halwachi. The minister stressed that the participation of Bahrain in this conference comes within the framework of Bahrain's keenness to support joint Arab action at the labour level, pointing out that the conference is an opportunity to exchange the pioneering labour experiences applied in the Arab countries.
