Bahrain participates in Arab Parliament closing session

Manama, June 1 (BNA): A delegation of the Council of Representatives participated in the Arab Parliament meeting held earlier this week at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. The meeting approved the Arab document on the development and preservation of the environment. The meeting called for concerted efforts to address a number of Arab issues discussed during the meeting. It reiterated its call on the international community and the United Nations to reach a solution to the Arab cause in line with the international laws, and the establishment of the State of Palestine and Jerusalem as its capital. The meeting discussed the Syrian refugees issue in neighboring countries and their suffering in Europe, and urged the international community to impose a comprehensive cease fire to stop the bloodshed in Syria. The meeting denounced the Iranian interference in the Arab countries' internal affairs and called on Iran to respect the principle of good neighborliness and stop its policy aimed at fueling sectarianism, hatred and destabilizing security and stability in various regions of the Arab nation. It reiterated standing by the Iraqi people in its fight against Daash terrorist group. It praised the Kuwaiti efforts in hosting the Yemeni dialogue, and called on the international community to lift the arms embargo imposed on the Libyan army to fight terrorism and protect Libyan people.
