Bahrain participates in Arab security meeting

Manama, Sept. 2 (BNA): The Director of the Joint Counter-terrorism Centre chaired the Interior Ministry's delegation in the 26th meeting for counter-terrorism teams held in Tunisia on August 30-31. The meeting discussed the counter-terrorism efforts of the Arab League and methods to tackle terrorist organisations and fighters. The experts also reviewed digital terrorism and challenges of the new terrorism financing channels. The meeting stressed the importance to reinforce cooperation with the United Nations and its counter-terrorism committees, along with international and regional organisations. Bahrain delegation included representatives from the Interior Ministry, Bahrain Defence Force, Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments and Bahrain Embassy in Tunisia.
