Bahrain participates in climate change summit

Manama, Apr. 22 (BNA): Personal Representative to HM the King, President of the Supreme Council of Environment (SCE), HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has delegated SCE Chief Executive Dr. Mohammed Bin-Dainah to participate in the second Sustainable Communities and Climate Change Summit that kicked off today in Dubai. Bin-Dainah praised the UAE role in preserving the environment at the regional and global level, as well as its efforts to stage the 2018 event. He stressed Bahrain’s keenness to push ahead with the sustainable development march.  He talked about the main international environment conventions joined by Bahrain and the SCE projects implemented to complement the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, attaching significance to concerted international efforts to confront environment and climate challenges.
