Bahrain participates in International Labor Conference

Manama, June 6 (BNA): Labor and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan participated in the International Labor Conference 110th session in Geneva on May 27 - June 11. The plenary sessions discussed the Director-General’s report on crisis recovery and support for the least developed countries. The labor minister said that the current session comes at an important period in light of the stage of economic recovery after more than two years of the Covid-19 pandemic. He added that labor markets suffered a contraction in the vital sectors, pointing out that the conference constitutes an opportunity to review the experience of the Kingdom in addressing the pandemic, the stage of economic recovery, and the measures taken that maintained the growth of the labor market The conference is one of the largest and most important international conferences held annually due to the wide participation of the leaders and the production parties in all countries, specialized international organizations, and the importance it represents in terms of discussing employment and social protection.
