Bahrain, Russia discuss agricultural cooperation

Manama, Feb. 28 (BNA): Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al-Khalifa received the Minister of Economic Development at the province of Stavropol, Russia, Andrey Moga and reviewed bilateral relation. Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al-Khalifa commended outstanding relations, hailing the Russian honorary participation in the Bahrain International Exhibition Show (BIGS-2016). The two sides discussed cooperation to develop agricultural production and integrate modern farming technologies to achieve food security. They also explored the possibility of encouraging young agricultural entrepreneurs and enabling them to market their products. They also discussed the innovative farming incubators as part of efforts to enhance the role of the agricultural sector in achieving food security. They agreed to exchange more visits with the aim of expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector.
