Bahrain, S. Korea discuss health cooperation

Seoul, Apr. 23 (BNA): President of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH) Lt-Gen Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al-Saleh, here today, met South Korea's Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Park Neunghoo, and discussed health cooperation.  The SCH President reviewed Bahrain’s National Health Plan (2016-2025), which is one of the national initiatives and a key aspect of the royal reforms. He pointed out the comprehensive health development projects and benefits that reflect the quality of health service.  The Korean minister hailed the strong bilateral relations and cooperation, stressing his country's keenness to strengthen health cooperation for the development of health sector. He lauded the health progress he witnessed during his visit to Bahrain, as well as HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s interest in boosting Bahraini-Korean cooperation in various fields.  Al-Saleh said the Bahraini and Korean sides last month signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in health care and medical sciences.
