Bahrain, San Marino establish diplomatic ties

New York, Sept. 26 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain has announced the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Republic of San Marino following the conclusion of an agreement between the two countries, signed at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City in accordance with the provisions of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations The agreement was signed as Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa met with Minister of Foreign of the Republic of San Marino Nicola Renzi. The move reflects the mutual desire of the two countries to develop friendly relations and cooperation in various political, economic and other areas to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples. Shaikh Khalid stressed that the agreement on diplomatic relations with the Republic of San Marino would push bilateral cooperation ties forward at all levels and enhance mutual coordination on issues of common concern.
