Bahrain, Singapore hold first consultation meeting

Singapore, July 19 (BNA): The first bilateral consultation meeting between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Singapore was held today (Tuesday, 19 July 2016) at the Headquarter of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore to discuss ways of strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the two countries. The Singaporean Ministry of Foreign Affairs Foreign Deputy Secretary (Asia Pacific), Mr Ng Teck Hean received the Assistant Under-Secretary for Arab & Afro-Asian Affairs and Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa Alkhalifa who heads the Bahrain's delegation. The meeting between the two sides discussed ways to develop cooperation at the bilateral and international levels in all areas including political, economic, trade and investment prospects, as well as cultural and tourism cooperation. The parties stressed the depth of the close relations between the two sides that ever expanding as a result of the periodical meeting between senior officials of both countries. The next round of consultation meeting is slated to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain. (MOFA)
