Bahrain-Sri Lanka ties praised

Manama, Sept. 15 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel binMohamed Ali Humaidan received Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Bahrain, Pradeepa B. Saram. The minister praised Bahrain-Sri Lanka friendship ties, wishing the ambassador of Sri Lanka success in her diplomatic mission. Humaidan briefed the ambassador about the Kingdom’s labor regulations compatible with international standards and the Kingdom’s continuous efforts to ensure the legal protection of all workers. He reaffirmed the ministry’s bolstering the social welfare and safe workplace ergonomics. The ambassador praised the bilateral relations, noting Bahrain’s development and growth in this prosperous era, citing the advanced labor regulations and the legal protection and social welfare of the workforce. The ambassador affirmed Sri Lanka government’s keenness to bolster the cooperation especially in the field of labor and human resources development as well as sharing successful experiences in this field. The ambassador lauded the Bahraini government’s patronage and attentiveness to the Sri Lankan community in Bahrain.
