Bahrain takes part in North Thunder drill

Manama, Feb. 28 (BNA): Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) is taking part with a combat group in North Thunder drill alongside troops from twenty Arab, Islamic and friendly countries. The military exercise, launched by Saudi Arabia, aims to protect the GCC, Arab and Islamic nations from terrorism. The BDF combat group has stationed itself among the coalition forces and completed all preparations to participate in all the drill's stages. The Bahraini troops' participation in North Thunder is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to boost military cooperation with the GCC, Arab and Islamic countries, enhance combat readiness and gain more experiences from various field mobilisation exercises. Commander of the BDF combat group Brigadier Khalid Salman Al Maawda stressed the importance of such joint military exercises in highlighting the high combat capabilities of the participating countries and promoting regional peace and stability.
