Bahrain-Thai Haj cooperation discussed

Manama, Aug. 30 (BNA): Head of Bahrain’s Haj Mission, Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al-Qattan, has lauded the deep-rooted Bahraini-Thai relations.
Al-Qattan was speaking while receiving here today a Thai delegation, led by the Advisor to the Thai Minister of Interior.
Head of the delegation, currently on a visit to the kingdom to meet Thai Haj pilgrims and expatriate community here, stressed the depth of the two countries’ relations spanning more than 40 years.
Shaikh Al-Qattan affirmed the keenness of the two countries’ leaders to strengthen bilateral relations at various international gatherings and through joint projects, highlighting His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s special interest in boosting bilateral ties, which, he said, are based on mutual respect and shared desire to achieve common interests.
He highlighted Bahrain’s experience in serving pilgrims among citizens and expatriates.
He also shed light on the role of the Bahrain Haj Mission in delivering services and facilities to pilgroms, as well as on its coordinationn mechanisms with the relevant parties in Bahrain and abroad.
Members of the Thai delegation expressed thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Al-Qattan for the warm welcome, and for informing them about Bahrain’s Haj season experience, stressing their keenness to exchange expertise and enhance cooperation in Haj matters.
