Bahrain-UAE cultural cooperation discussed

Manama, Feb. 25 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received today the UAE’s Minister of Culture Noura Al Ka’abi. They discussed ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation in the cultural field.  As part of the reception programme, the UAE minister visited Bahrain National Museum and got informed about its sections which contain artefacts depicting Bahrain’s history of more than 4000 years. She also visited the exhibition at the museum and got informed about the Pearl Route project in Muharraq that is registered on UNESCO’s International Human Heritage List and which will be inaugurated by BACA in November. The UAE minister also visited the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage and got informed about its role in preserving the international human heritage in the Arab world.
