Bahrain, UAE parliamentary ties highlighted

Abu Dhabi, Oct. 7 (BNA) Speaker Fawzia Abdullah Zainal hailed the historic fraternal ties between Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates fostered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The speaker highlighted the Council of Representatives keenness on further its cooperation with the UAE Federal National Council. She noted the two councils’ diligence on the advancing the parliamentary cooperation and partnership for supporting and empowering Gulf women at all levels and organizations in various areas and sectors thanks to the partnership between wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council of Women (SCW)’s President Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa and Mother of the Nation Her Highness Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the UAE General Women's Union. This came as Zainal met UAE Federal National Council Speaker Dr. Amal Abdullah Al-Qubaisi, on the occasion of the launch of the Arab Women’s Rights Charter which takes place in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
