Bahrain-UK strong relations stressed

Manama, Sept. 3 (BNA): The Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdulla bin Faisal bin Jabur Al-Doseri, received in his office at the Ministry's General Court today, the Deputy Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Maqbool Ali, and the Joint Head of Gulf Team at the Middle East and North Africa Directorate of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Helen Flewker. During the meeting, the Assistant Foreign Minister affirmed the deep historical ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, stressing the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to strengthen these friendly relations in various fields to meet the common aspirations of the two countries and peoples. For his part, the Deputy Ambassador expressed his pride and appreciation of the bilateral relations of cooperation between the two friendly countries, praising their constant development at all levels, wishing both countries further progress and prosperity. During the meeting, a number of issues of common concern were also discussed. (MOFA)
