Bahrain-UK ties praised

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa on Wednesday received the United Kingdom’s Minister of State for the Middle East, Alistair Burt, at Al Gudaibiya Palace, in presence of Britain’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Simon Martin. HH Shaikh Mohammed welcomed the UK minister’s visit to participate in the Bahrain-UK Joint Working Group meeting. The British minister praised the strong historic bilateral ties, affirming the keenness of both countries on boosting the cooperation in various fields. He also praised Bahrain’s advanced strides in various fields in the interest of its friendly people. They reviewed various regional and international issues, stressing the significance of cooperation and joint work to preserve security and stability in the interest of both friendly countries and peoples.
