Bahrain-US judicial cooperation discussed

Manama, Apr. 29 (BNA): President of the Court of Cassation and Deputy President of the Supreme Judicial Council Chancellor Abdullah bin Hassan Al Buainin received today Judge Elizabeth S. Stong of the US Bankruptcy Court. He welcomed her, stressing the importance of such visits in boosting cooperation between both countries in the judicial field. The visit aims to get informed about the US experience regarding the Bankruptcy Code and avail of it in upgrading court procedures concerning bankruptcy lawsuits so as to boost effectiveness of law enforcement in Bahrain. Chancellor Al Buainin said Bahrain needs to know about international experiences regarding bankruptcy lawsuits to enrich its experience in law enforcement according to the highest international standards. He stressed the importance of the law in luring investments and raising international economic indices.
