Bahrain welcomes historic Korean summit

Manama, Apr. 27 (BNA): Bahrain has welcomed the historic summit between the President of South Korea, Moon Jae-in, and the President of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kim Jong Un, which reaffirmed their commitment to complete denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula, establishing security and peace, and reaching an agreement related to North Korea's nuclear programme in accordance with the relevant international conventions. In a statement issued today, Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it “commends the outstanding efforts exerted by the United States of America, which resulted in the convening of this historic summit, and reflect the United States’ keenness to bring peace to various parts of the world.” “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs praises the steps taken and the effective initiatives and cooperation among the international community to ensure an end to conflicts, nuclear disarmament and the achievement of international peace and stability,” the statement added.
