Bahrain welcomes transfer of power to Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen

Manama, Apr. 7 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the Yemeni President, Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi’s issuance of a declaration to establish the Presidential Leadership Council to complete the implementation of the tasks of the transitional phase, and to delegate to it the full powers of the President of the Republic in accordance with the constitution and the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom’s full support for the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council to continue the efforts and tasks entrusted to the council to manage state affairs, complete the tasks of the transitional phase, achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, stability and development, and end the Yemeni crisis through a comprehensive political solution between the Yemeni parties to achieve peace, development and prosperity for Yemen and its people.
