Bahrain, Yemen common destiny stressed

Manama, March 17 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa has stated that the important talks held between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has stressed fraternal and deep-rooted historic relations between the two countries.
He added that these ties have grown stronger with Bahrain's participation in defending legitimacy in Yemen to draw the most wonderful image of fraternal cohesion and common destiny between both countries. He lauded Yemen's supportive stances for brotherly countries, in general, and Bahrain, in particular, which will remain source of pride for all Bahrainis who show great respect and love for Yemen and its people.
The Foreign Minister stressed that Bahrain will spare no effort for Yemen's welfare and to support any initiative aimed at boosting the country's unity and stability, stressing that the kingdom will continue taking part in the Arab coalition until peace and stability prevail all over Yemen. He reiterated Bahrain's commitment to contributing to all humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Shaikh Khalid pointed out that the exceptional and critical circumstances undergone by Yemen require more efforts and intensive consultations in order to achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people to live in peace and prosperity.
He pointed out the necessity for all Yemenis to adhere to the political process to achieve peace through commitment to the UN Security Council resolution 2216, the output of the national dialogue and the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism. (MOFA)
