Bahraini Ambassador meets Russian Foreign Ministry's Consular Department Director

Moscow, Sep. 17 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation, Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, met the Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Ivan Volkin. The Bahraini Ambassador commended the distinguished relations of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, noting their constant development and progress at various levels. He stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to strengthen these relations and enhance them in order to benefit both friendly countries and peoples. The two sides reviewed ways to facilitate the issuance of visas for Bahraini citizens to the Russian Federation, which contributes to the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the fields of trade and tourism. The Director of the Consular Department pointed out that obtaining visas to both the Far East in the Russian Federation and the Kaliningrad region, has become available to all Bahraini citizens through the website, noting that the city of St. Petersburg will be added on the beginning of October. He also pointed out that electronic visas will be available to all Russian territories as of 2021. He continued by stating that the Russian Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain has been directed to facilitate the issuance of visas to Bahraini nationals, expressing his welcome to their visit to the Russian Federation. He also added that he is looking forward to reaching an agreement to exempt the citizens of the two friendly countries from obtaining advance visas in the near future.
