Bahraini-Egyptian investment cooperation highlighted

Manama, Mar 14 (BNA): Chairman of the Egyptian side of the Joint Bahraini-Egyptian Business Council, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, said that a delegation representing Bahraini private sector will visit Egypt next May, pointing out that a proposal to establish a Bahraini-Egyptian holding company will be on top of the agenda of the Joint Business Council. Al-Suwaidi told Bahrain News Agency (BNA), on the sidelines of his recent visit to Bahrain, the importance of investment in the tourism sector in both countries, calling for the need to launch direct flights from Bahrain to several tourist areas in Egypt. He noted the importance of boosting cooperation with Bahraini businessmen in various areas. He said that the Egyptian delegation, during its recent visit to Bahrain, met with investment officials and BCCI members and discussed joint interest and exchange of expertise. It also discussed ways to promote the youth and providing for them job opportunities in conformity with the interest of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on creating a promising future for them. He added that a Bahraini delegation will conduct a visit to Egypt in next May to hold talks with Egyptian officials on the initiation of investment cooperation, as well as the establishment of a handcraft and goldsmithery school.
