Bahraini inventor wins International Gandhi Peace Prize

New Delhi, Sep. 12 (BNA): Bahraini inventor Amina Al-Hawaj has been awarded the International Gandhi Peace Prize by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh State at a ceremony organized on the sidelines of the India International Inventors Conference held on September 9-11, 2017. Al-Hawaj was awarded in recognition of her continuing humanitarian efforts and donating her medical inventions in treating patients voluntarily. She was also honoured by Andhra Pradesh State’s Minister for Science and Technology and Rural Education for her voluntary therapeutic efforts in India and other countries.
