Bahraini-Japanese health cooperation discussed

Manama, Aug. 4 (BNA): Health Minister, Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh, received here today the Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain, Kiyoshi Asako, and discussed with him ways to enhance health cooperation between the two countries.
The minister lauded the depth of the Bahraini-Japanese relations in various field, especially health.
She discussed with him a number of health issues, particularly the visiting medical consultants to Bahrain, in line with His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s directives to avail of international expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of various illnesses.
She reviewed with the ambassador areas of cooperation, and ways of developing it to improve the quality of health services in the kingdom.
Al-Saleh lauded Japan’s medical potentials and expertise, expressing hope that bilateral agreements will be activate and joint action will be intensified amid Japan’s distinction in modern medical technology and equipment.
The ambassador praised the steady progress of the health services in kingdom, especially in light of the government’s interest in boosting such a vital sector.
He expressed his country’s readiness to enhance health cooperation with the kingdom to upgrade the level of medical services.
The minister wished the ambassador every success in his diplomatic duties.
