Bahraini pilgrim undergoes Cardiac catheterization

Manama, Sep 10 (BNA): A Bahraini woman pilgrim was transferred from Noor Specialist Hospital (NSH) to King Abdulla Medical City to undergo a Cardiac catheterization (Heart Cath).
Bahrain Hajj Medical Mission Chief Dr. Ibrahim Obaid said that the woman had suffered a heart attack, commending the Saudi officials for transferring her to undergo the Heart Cath.
“The Hajj medical mission is following-up the patient’s situation to get reassured about her health condition”, he said, adding that the hospital would help her perform her pilgrimage at Arafat.
In a statement, Dr. Obaid said that Bahrain Hajj clinic had treated so far 590 people, most of whom were suffering from the flu and stomach problems (Gastroenteritis).
Diabetic pilgrims have also reported to the clinic for a check-up to get reassured about their health conditions, in addition to a few others who are anemic.
The Hajj delegation, chaired by Shaikh Adnan Al-Qattan, and the Hajj Medical Mission, visited their Kuwaiti and Qatari counterparts to exchange expertise. The medical staff have also accompanied the pilgrims as they descend to Mina.
The Hajj Medical Mission chief extended deep thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Saudi officials for their dedicated efforts, paying tribute to Bahrain’s wise leadership and the health authorities.
