Bahrain's advanced labor legislations praised

Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): Labor and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan has met the Arab Labor Organization board chairman Fayez Ali Almutairi. They explored the joint Arab work in the field of labor and development. They also reviewed latest progress in projects and developmental programs as well as continuous development of national legislation in the area of labor and social development besides the ministry's initiatives in boosting social protection. Almutairi praised Bahrain's most advanced experience in the field of labor and social development in the Arab region especially regarding the provision of safer workplace ergonomics, launching multiple labor unions, issuance of advanced national legislations in harmony with the Arab Labor Organization (ALO) and the International Labor Organization (the ILO standards regarding human resources development, expressing the ALO's readiness to boost cooperation with the Kingdom in the various labor fields.
