Bahrain's Ambassador to Algeria meets Head of Notre Dame d'Afrique

Algiers, Nov. 4 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Fuad Sadiq Al-Baharna, met today the Head of Notre Dame d'Afrique, Pأ¨re Josأ Maria Cantal Rivas, in Algeria. During the meeting, the Bahraini Ambassador expressed his pride in and appreciation for the relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, affirming the Kingdom†s keenness on spreading tolerance and coexistence among different religions, in light of the facilities it has been providing throughout history, out of its openness, acceptance of the other and support for peaceful coexistence among various peoples. The Ambassador also reviewed the steps and initiatives led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which call for spreading love and peace among human beings and achieving peaceful coexistence and religious freedoms based on mutual respect among nations and peoples. He highlighted, in this regard, the establishment of the King Hamad Chair in Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-existence at the Sapienza University, Rome, in 2018, and the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, which are a mere representation of His Majesty's vision in the humanitarian field to achieve the desired outcomes by promoting tolerance, peaceful coexistence and acceptance of the other among all nations and religions. The Head of Notre Dame d'Afrique praised the Kingdom of Bahrain in its significant role of promoting religious freedoms, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
