Bahrain's Ambassador presents his credentials to Ireland

Manama, Apr 12 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Court of St James , Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, presented this afternoon to His Excellency the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, copies of his credentials as Non-Resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Shaikh Fawaz conveyed to His Excellency the President, Michael D. Higgins, greetings and best wishes for good health and further progress from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. Ambassador Shaikh Fawaz also conveyed to His Excellency Mr. Higgins the Bahraini leadership’s commitment to the historic bilateral relations linking the two friendly countries and their people. President of Ireland entrusted the ambassador with conveying his greetings to the Bahraini leadership and welcomed Shaikh Fawaz as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing him success. To mark this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Saeed Al Shamsi, the UAE Ambassador to Ireland hosted a dinner for HE Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa which was attended by a number of senior officials and Ambassadors. Shaikh Fawaz also met with senior officials at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and also the Chairman of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade at the Irish Parliament, Mr Pat Breen.
