Bahrain's distinguished human rights record stressed

Manama, Sep. 17 (BNA): Head of the Bahraini parliamentary delegation to Geneva, Ali Al-Aradi, the Representatives Council First Deputy Speaker, affirmed Bahrain's capability to overcome all challenges thanks to the national will and the pioneering royal reform project.
In an interview with Bahrain News Agency (BNA) on the occasion of conclusion of the delegation's visit to Geneva recently, Al-Aradi said that the delegation worked during the visit on highlighting Bahrain's distinguished human rights record. He also stressed the need for continuous work with relevant institutions and organisations to clarify the situation continuously, especially with the existence of politicized and biased stances regarding the human rights issue in Bahrain.
Al-Aradi noted that the parliamentary delegation worked during its recent visit to Geneva on laying bare the dangerous agenda of Iran and its interference in Bahrain's affairs in an attempt to undermine its stability and the stability of the GCC countries, in general. He denounced politicization of the human rights issue at the international level, pointing out the unacceptable comments of the High Commissioner in his recent statements.
Al-Aradi stressed discordance of the High Commissioner's language with the role he has to assume which aims to work cooperatively and objectively with countries to further promote human rights. He added that many countries had voiced disappointment at the High Commissioner's language.
