Bahrain's supportive stances towards Yemen affirmed

Manama, Sep. 7 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, has reiterated the kingdom's firm stance in support of legitimacy in brotherly Yemen, stressing the Shura Council's support to Bahrain's participation in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to restore security and stability to Yemen. He also praised the role played by the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF)'s servicemen, and their honourable performance during the operations in which they took part. Receiving the Yemeni Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Ali Hassan Al-Ahmadi, Al-Saleh said that the long-standing fraternal relations between the two countries and their peoples required the kingdom to play its Arab duties in restoring things back to normal in Yemen. He stressed that the sacrifices made by the late BDF servicemen in the "Operation Decisive Storm" and the "Operation Restoring Hope" prove the depth of the relations between the two brotherly peoples. They also testify to the kingdom's commitment to playing its role in maintaining security and stability in the region within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The Shura Council Chairman discussed with the Ambassador the latest developments in Yemen, and the UN-sponsored efforts aimed at restoring peace.
