Batam Administration To Apply Non-cash Transactions In Sept 2017

BATAM, Riau Islands, July 5 (Antara) - The Batam City Administration, Riau Islands Province, will apply non-cash transactions in every institution on Sept 1, 2017. Batam Mayor Muhammad Rudi stated here on Tuesday that the implementation of non-cash transactions in the city was faster than the central government's instruction, which will be effective on Jan 1, 2018. To date, six institutions have implemented non-cash transactions in Batam, namely the Education Office, the Health Office, the Social Service and Community Empowerment Office, the Human Resources and Development Board, Research and Development Planning Board, and General Hospital of Embung Fatimah. The six agencies have been implementing the non-cash transaction since June 1, 2017. The mayor instructed the financial department in each local agency and institutions to immediately complete the financial reports and prepare to run non-cash transactions.
