BDF chief receives Commander of US Central Command

Manama, Feb. 8 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received the Commander of the US Central Command, General Kenneth F. McKenzie, Jr. and his accompanying delegation, at the Officers’ Club today. Defence Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, was present. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed welcomed the Commander of the US Central Command and his accompanying delegation, lauding the solid cooperation relations between the two countries, and their steady progress at all levels. The BDF chief expressed hope that cooperation and coordination between the two countries, especially in the military field, will continue so as to further develop the two friendly countries’ constant coordination in the defence fields. The two sides also exchanged commemorative gifts. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed hosted a lunch banquet in honour of the US Central Command and his accompanying delegation at the Officers’ Club.
