BDF Commander-in-Chief patronises honouring ceremony

Manama, Mar. 5 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa patronized today an honouring ceremony for the BDF special operational task force /16 which is participating in the Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen as part of the Saudi-led Arab coalition. The celebration, held at the Royal Guard, was attended by BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Defence Ministry Undersecretary Major General Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Royal Guard Commander Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Guard Special Force Commander Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and senior officers.  After officially welcoming the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Major Shaikh Khalid thanked him, in a speech, for patronizing the ceremony, pointing out the advanced level reached by BDF thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the unlimited support and close follow-up of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. He praised the dedicated efforts of the BDF personnel to perform their sacred national duty within the Saudi-led Arab coalition forces to back legitimacy in Yemen. He commended their noble sacrifices and bravery to defend the right and restore legitimacy in Yemen.  The BDF Commander-in-Chief presented the medals of appreciation bestowed by HM the King on a number of officers, commissioned officers and servicemen of the special operational task force /16 in recognition of their dedicated patriotic efforts and role in defending the right. He praised their high morale, professionalism and discipline in assuming their duties in line with the directives of HM the King and within the framework of joint defence agreements signed with the brethren GCC and Arab countries. He also conveyed to them the greetings and respect of HM the King, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
