BDF contingency, RBAF jets return from Saudi Arabia

Manama, Mar. 13 (BNA): The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) contingency and the fighter jets of the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF) have returned to the kingdom after participating in the "North Thunder" drill and military parade, held recently at the King Khalid Military City in Hafr Al-Batin, Saudi Arabia. Twenty Arab and Islamic countries took part in the massive drill and military parade, deemed the biggest in the history of the region. The participation of the BDF contingency and RBAF fighter jets was in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, to promote joint military action among GCC states, strengthen cooperation and coordination with Arab and Islamic countries, develop combat readiness and gain more experience in order to be able to face common challenges and threats. The BDF task force played an effective role and proved its effectiveness throughout the various stages of the military maneuver, alongside troops from GCC, Arab, Islamic and friendly countries. It also took part in the military parade competently.
