On behalf of HM the King of Bahrain, HRH Crown Prince receives invitation to the 30th Arab League Summit

Manama, Jan. 13 (BNA): On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today received a letter from the President of the Republic of Tunisia, His Excellency Béji Caid Essebsi, inviting His Majesty the King to the 30th Arab League Summit, which will be held on 31 March 2019 in Tunisia. The letter was delivered to HRH the Crown Prince by the Tunisian Foreign Minister and the President of Tunisia’s Special Envoy, His Excellency Khemaies Jhinaoui. During the meeting, which took place at Riffa Palace, HRH the Crown Prince and the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed Bahrain-Tunisia bilateral relations, and highlighted both countries’ commitment to continue advancing cooperation across all areas. HRH the Crown Prince recognised the crucial role of the upcoming Arabic summit in bolstering joint Arab collaboration and advancing shared strategic interests of prosperity. HRH the Crown Prince went on to convey HM King Hamad’s best wishes to the Tunisian President, wishing the Republic of Tunisia every success in hosting the 30th Arab summit. For his part, the Tunisian Foreign Minister highlighted the positive role Bahrain continues to play in supporting Arab and Islamic development issues, and expressed his thanks to HRH the Crown Prince for supporting the advancement of Bahrain-Tunisia bilateral cooperation. His Excellency Shaikh Khaled bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, also attended the meeting.
