Belarus, Kyrgyzstan seek to intensify inter-parliamentary contacts

Belarus and Kyrgyzstan are interested in stepping up inter-parliamentary cooperation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus Ermek Ibraimov said as he met with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko, BelTA reported. “The 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations is our common milestone. In addition to all types of cooperation between our countries, from the point of view of Kyrgyzstan, inter-parliamentary cooperation is one of the most important areas,” Ermek Ibraimov said. The parties are set to discuss the state and prospects of the Belarus-Kyrgyzstan inter-parliamentary contacts, including the official visit to Belarus of the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan scheduled for 2023, as well as other topical issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, economy and the humanitarian field. “We are consistently working to finalize the agreement on inter-parliamentary cooperation between our countries. We are determined to sign this document,” the ambassador noted.
