Belgrade exhibiting paintings of children of Islamic world

TEHRAN,Nov.8 (MNA) – A selection of top paintings at the previous editions of the International Painting Biennial of Children of the Islamic World is on display in an exhibition in Belgrade, Serbia. Over 150 paintings with the major theme of “God and I” has been put on show for one week at the exhibit which opened Monday, director of the Moka’ab-Honar Artistic Cultural Institute Mohammadreza Kamareii told . The selection was previously held in exhibitions arranged in Morocco and Kirghizia last year, he said. Kamareii added that this exhibit helps showcase paintings of Iranian children and provides an opportunity for more interaction between children of the Islamic world and the children of Serbia. Children from Bangladesh, Sudan, Middle Asia and Serbia competed in the third edition. The fourth biennial is expected to be held next year in Tehran, aiming to recognize gifted children of the Islamic world.
