BIDEC 2019 importance highlighted

Manama, Oct. 27 (BNA): National Communication Centre (NCC) Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mannai stressed the role of the media in highlighting major events in Bahrain. He underscored the importance of building bridges with all local, regional and international media figures and institutions. He made the statement as he hosted a dinner banquet in honour of media delegations which are covering the the second edition of the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC 2019), to be held on October 28-30. He underlined the keenness of the National Communication Centre (NCC) on holding constant meetings with the media, in line with the directives of the Minister of Information Affairs Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi. Al-Mannai welcomed the Arab and foreign media delegations covering BIDEC 2019, which starts today (October 28), stressing the crucial role of the media in communicating with others through conventional channels, strengthening interstate relations, shaping public opinions and influencing the elite and decision-makers. He stressed the importance of Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC 2019), which represents an opportunity to meet leading journalists in Bahrain and an open platform for print, audio and visual media.
