Big C Pattani reopens after car bomb attack

PATTANI, May 18 (TNA) – Big C supermarket in the southern province of Pattani reopened for the first day today after it was hit by a car bomb attack on May 9, which left more than 50 people wounded. After more than a week of closure, Big C in Pattani's provincial seat partly reopened this morning amid tight security but the area, damaged by the bombing remains closed. After trained and advised by security officials before the reopening, security guards at Big C thoroughly check vehicles, entering the premises as well as ID cards of drivers and passengers. Shoppers return to buy goods as usual. Meanwhile, the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center this afternoon will present honorary awards to 20 security guards, who bravely responded to the bomb attack in chaotic situation last week.
