Big Heart Campaign ends its third phase for Syrian refugees

Sharjah (WAM): The Big Heart Campaign has concluded its third phase aiming to collect donations to support educational needs of the Syrian refugees children. The fundraising events at Mirdif City Center in Dubai were led by H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah and UNHCR Eminent Advocate for Refugee Children. The fundraiser featured a range of fun-filled activities and attracted a large numbers of families. H.H. Sheikha Jawaher said: "As students are reaching high levels through education, the Big Heart Campaign has also reached a new level of awareness by explaining to the public the importance of education as it repairs what war destroys." The campaign has succeeded in raising US $ 13 million over the past year and contributed in meeting the needs of hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees through the provision of emergency health care, clothing, blankets, shelter, and food. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
