BKKBN Declares Anti-Corruption Commitment

Jakarta, Dec 10 (ANTARA) - The National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) has declared its commitment to preventing and eradicating corruption. "BKKBN is strongly committed to combating corruption," said Subagyo, the spokesman of the non-ministerial institution, during the National Anti-Corruption Day 2012 celebrations held here on Monday. �Anti-corruption efforts at the BKKBN office have been made so far through auditing, conducted by an internal auditor, and the implementation of the Government Internal Control System (SPIP), conducted by each working unit,� he explained. According to Subagyo, the Anti-Corruption Day �is an important occasion to reveal the determination of the nation to prevent and eradicate corruption�. "It is in line with the National Corruption Eradication Strategy No.55/2012 on creating a corruption-free government that is supported by an integrated cultural and value system," he noted. Subagyo stated that BKKBN had also signed an �Integrity Pact� as part of its efforts to eradicate corruption. "We have also developed `Integrity Zones�, which are declared to be free of corruption," he added.
