BMA on watch for downpours in 2-3 days

BANGKOK, March 27 (TNA) -- The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is on the look out for heavy downpours in the next couple days, as thunderstorms struck the country. Bangkok Flood Prevention and Control Centre reported today that the Bangkok would be facing light to medium showers throughout the whole day, where similar weather ios predicted to continue in the capital for the next 2-3 days, though some areas could be hit with heavy downpours. In the past 24 hours, Bangkok has seen slight and medium showers, with the highest rainfall level measured in Bang Khun Thian at 55.5 millimetres, causing no inundations on main roads, Nonetheless, the Thai Meteorological Department has informed that the northern region of the country is still facing hot weather, though the western wind traveling from Myanmar to cover the north and northeast would cause thunderstorms between March 27-29, 2017, prompting the regions to see storms, lightnings, strong winds and hails in some areas, whereas Bangkok and its peripheral provinces are predicted to face a 60 per cent chance of rain for the next 3 days.
