BNA director-general hails Umm Al Qura newspaper

Jeddah, Mar.31 (BNA): Bahrain News Agency (BNA) director-general Abdulla Khalil Bouhajji attended a ceremony hosted by the Saudi Ministry of Information marking the 100th Hijri anniversary of Umm Al Qura newspaper. The celebration was held in the City of Makkah under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the presence of Advisor to the Saudi King, Makkah Governor His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal. Bouhajji conveyed greetings from the Minister of Information Affairs Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi to his Saudi counterpart Dr. Majid bin Abdulla Al Qasabi, as well as congratulations on celebration which documents an historic phase in the Saudi press and media strides. He commended the pioneering role of Umm Al Qura newspaper over the past century in supporting development efforts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. BNA director-general lauded the newspaper’s vision and mission, based on professionalism and commitment, in light of the press and media cadres that are known for their efficiency and creativity. He praised the enlightened and advanced vision presented by the media in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that supports joint Gulf action and expresses the comprehensive development across all fields. He wished the pioneering Umm Al-Qura newspaper, its management and its affiliates from media, technical and administrative cadres, continued professional success.
